Merry meet,
it is so nice to meet you. I am
Lynnaea and my hubby is Dr. Paradox. These are craft names, of course.
"The Moonglade" is the name of our farm in mid Tennessee, 75 wooded acres over looking the Cumberland River. Here we raise our vegetables by biodynamic (organic+) methods. We also have hens for fresh eggs, and assorted cats and dogs. Soon we will have some goats and eventually cows. I have made plans for a hen house/green house. The hens will contribute to the heating in the winter. It is a good life here, the woods are alive with the wee folk, elves, gnomes and such. Our house spirit is a nice lady spectre, she is very polite and never scares the guests.
We are a middle aged, active, pagan couple, married 4 years this next Lammas. We met on the internet in a pagan chat room, 5 months later we were handfasted on this traditional day for weddings by very dear friends. There is a local Wiccan coven where we circle, "Moon Circle", we are currently studying for our 2nd degree. If you go to the Pagan Unity Festival in Nashville, TN, you might run into us at one of the booths where my hubby, Dr. Paradox., might be giving tarot readings. He has excellent insights, stop in for a mini reading. Or you might browse through my robe creations.
The Doc is also a writer of poetry, screen plays, short stories, and is working on a novel. Being a Gemini he works on 3 or 4 projects at once. Lynnaea also paints in oils, watercolors, and uses graphic programs to make all the art you see on this site.
I recently read a survey result of what people want to see on a pagan web site. One was personal stories of how you became pagan. Well, briefly, I think I was born this way. I aways was interested in magic, when I was a little girl I would pick weeds, tie them together and dry them in the garage. I would do spells to heal the cat or the goldfish. I would read every childrens book on magic I could find. I bought books about magic and witchcraft in second hand stores, read those impossible ancient grimoires. I also read everything I could on all the world religions, mythology, anthropology, and such. You see, I was interested in learning about the mysteries of the universe. Although I did charms for years I didn't really consider myself a witch, though. Until I found Scott Cunningham's books in the mid 70's, this was magic that I could use. Later, I found Wicca, but it took a few years to commit myself. I finally dedicated to the old gods in 1995. Once I dedicated, my life reads like a "born again" testimony. You have heard it before, I am sure, so I won't bore you anymore. The moral of my story is "when the soul is ready a teacher will appear".
This website, I hope, is different than those Wicca 101 sites you see so many of. Wiccans tend to make their religion also their hobby, and their social life. Wicca is a big part of our life but I hope we have a more rounded lifestyle with many more interests.
If you are new and want to learn more about a pagan path, may I suggest the Witches Voice. If you are not new, you already have that link <g>.
Email us, we will chat with you.
Bright blessings,
Lynnaea
